OTA Antenna Question

Would it work if I used two antennas pointed in different directions going into a splitter and then to the TV. Just curious if anyone has tried this before

Yes, but with caveats. Antenna Man provides a good description of what you might encounter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToeZWV5ifjA

The old folks used to do this all the time, although often one antenna was low-V and the other was high-V or U.

I guess you could have HD Homerun on one antenna and a tablo on another and have those apps on a fire stick to watch the Chanel’s they pick up?

I have separate VHF and UHF antennas feeding a turned-around splitter, resulting in one feed coming from the attic. No issues whatsoever. I will likely add a second UHF antenna shortly and feed all into the same downlead.

Appreciate the feedback. Thanks

Yes. I have 2 connected via a splitter in my attic facing slightly different directions to maximize all of the channels out of the N.O market. Both connect to 5 household tvs and a hd homerun for my Plex connection.

tvfool.com will let you put in your address then show you what channels you can expect from a tv set antenna, attic antenna, and outside antenna. Have you done this already? Just curious if you need two antennas.

I have an antenna for the UHF stations much like the multi-directional antenna linked above. It is in my attic near Watson, pointed near New Orleans. When the atmosphere is right I can pull those stations in. Even though the Baton Rouge stations are nearly 90 degrees from the front of the antenna, it has no issues with them. Some days, I am seeing Mississippi Public Broadcasting off the back of that same antenna. (It hits a splitter/combiner to add a separate VHF antenna before hitting a distribution amp that feeds 6 sets in the house.)
When the weather cools, I will add another identical antenna back-to-back with the original, which should cement the MPB station, and on some days give me Lafayette and Alexandria.
One particularly good night, I was seeing WDAM in Hattiesburg.
