What these elected officials are discovering is that governing is hard. They thought they could run a repeat of their junior high student council election and promise more choices in the cafeteria and that teachers would have to listen to students. And shite is hard. People live and die and economies rise and fall on your decisions. And very few of them are at all prepared for adulthood. Let alone leading cities of hundreds of thousands in inhabitants and billions of economic product.
