Some players have health issues they may not know about

It affects everyone

I’m sorry, that wasn’t the OPs question, we can make up “what if’s” and hypotheticals all day to justify not doing anything

what about the kids (God rest their soul) who have died on the practice field with heart conditions?

should sport be eliminated from society on every level based on this?

Unfortunately, there seems to be several football player deaths a year from unknown health issues or heat stroke.

We still play day games in the heat and havent stopped practicing/playing over the fear of a player dying because of unknown health issues.

Why now?

My LA parish has a covid mortality rate of 0.000138. The neighboring parish covid mortality rate is 0.000132.

The flu mortality rate in Louisiana in 2019 was 0.0001706.

Games werent cancelled any previous yrs.

Everything affects everyone.

A lot more people under 20 die from flu every year than from covid.
