I've owned one for a couple years now. Excellent rifles for the price. I have had no issues and would recommend them to anyone looking at getting a quality rifle at a good price.
A buddy ordered 2 and got them in yesterday. Hasn't got to shoot them yet but he's impressed with the fit and finish, smoothness of the action and clean drop of mags from the magwell.

I know PSA is the default "budget rifle maker", but they've been cleaned out of anything under $700 whenever I looked.

I got mine in from Palmetto yesterday. Same boat as your buddy as far as not being able to shoot it yet but being impressed with feel of it
