I honestly try to give everyone a “blank slate,” regardless of race, when I interact with them the first time. What I’m finding with myself is that I’m hesitant to have interactions with black people in public now. I’m assuming they hate me because I’m white, so I’m not wasting my time with them.

I don’t limit my interactions in public, but thank goodness we have been remote working through this. The office environment would be like walking a minefield right now without this pandemic.
