Some of those categories were absolutely loaded.
I still love that back then there was a strong dilenniation between rap and hip hop... Now it's all just one thing.
But Sisqo was not a rapper at all.
I also miss Kid Rock a lot. There was a part after the Rage bassist stunt wherr they actually had to bring Carson Daly in to host a segment of the show because the Wayans didn't know what to do.
Daly was just chilling in the audience with Durst and a drunken Kid Rock holding a Heineken, then said "but what did that guy want? Wolrd peace? Cure for poverty? At least give us something?"
It was hilarious, classic Kid Rock at his height.
Eminem also dropped loads of pills out of his pockets on purpose during his first award as he "was looking for his speech"

The whole night was like that.

Everything is pop now, it all sounds the same. I can't stand today's music. Rap is garbage, rock is dead, R&B is pretty much dead.

The video of the year nominees was STACKED
I was glad Eminem won at the time.
Loved the video for All the Small Things, Blink always had the funniest videos.
Bye Bye Bye is one of the only songs I liked from NSYNC and although they weren't really my thing, it was a good one.
I think Californication has stood the test of time the most. That was a stunning video and it's still really, really good. Also helps that the song itself is great.
Real Slim Shady
All the Small Things
