My experience has been that me and the wife might be able to handle an aggressive itinerary like that. But kids? Nope. They will eventually tire, get cranky, and not get anything out of the trip. It will take away from their experience and your experience.

It sounds like this vacation is tailored for you without the kids in mind. They don’t have an adult’s stamina. It is best to make each day an easy day and wait until the kids are in their teens before taking a trip like that.
