A guy who worked on Rushmore started Crazy Horse but died before it was finished (think there were some funding issues as well). If it ever gets finished, that Crazy Horse monument would be, bar none, maybe the coolest thing on the planet.

The feds have offered to pay to finish it multiple times but the tribe refuses any help from the U.S. government.
