Would you not be willing to expose yourself to a vaccine to get the economy and society moving back to normalcy?
That's the issue. It should not be an either/or proposition. This virus has been (over)hyped as something potentially wiping out a huge segment of the US and world population. To date, all the data we have show the fatality rate is small and perhaps getting even smaller. So while the development of a vaccine would be great, it in NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM should be a "prerequisite" to "get the economy and society moving and back to normalcy."

I don't think I've seen a reputable expert warn of the virus wiping out huge segments of the population. The problem with this virus has always been it being a super spreader, and hospitalization rates.
As for your last point, stop being pedantic. I'm just a joe-blow on the internet, I'm not saying it should be a pre-requisite. But would you argue that a vaccine with mass buy-in wouldn't get the economy and society moving back to normalcy?
