Biden and others are going to be calling Trump a racist like never before for retweeting a video. Just watch. Trump has his counter punch loaded up. Something along the lines of a video playing Joe Biden’s own words about black people and crime and contrasting that with Trump’s criminal justice reform bill and an onslaught of black politicians and supporters coming out for Trump and against Joe. The American public generally doesn’t like bullies but they love people standing up for themselves and bringing light to hypocrisy.

I think this is more that Trump never saw it and if he did he didn't go more than a few seconds into the video.
It doesn’t matter, it changes nothing for a whole bunch of people. Those outraged can run to Sleepy Joe, the Marxist and cancel culture. That’s your other option and you have to live with yourself in making that choice.
All the faux outrage over Trumps every move. Do you ever think that this country is where it is with the level of division because people don’t get out of the way of the train barreling down on them?

Not sure they love people standing up for themselves in all situations. Usually depends on the underlying behavior being relatable. People have to see themselves being attacked for similar behavior and feel a connection.

Remember the first Dem primary debate when Kamala out of the blue went after Joe for his “troubling” position on busing a long time ago in an effort to paint Biden as some sort of racist sympathizer? That punch didn’t land despite the MSM’s best efforts to make it seem like it did. The average person was like “what was that about? Why is she attacking Joe for no reason?”
Compare that to Trump’s attacks on others. 99% of Trump’s attacks are in response to being attacked and his attacks almost always land. The left tries to paint Trump like he’s the aggressor, he’s the bully, and they’re somewhat successful at that because he’s so damn good at counterpunching it can seem like he’s just out there knocking people on their asses.

I don’t disagree with any of this. But trump hasn’t changed the narrative like this is months.

I’d argue it didn’t land because people thought “I’ve supported matters that ended up having bad effects years later, and I’m not a racist. Joe probably isn’t racist either.”
Not sure there’s a whole lot of people thinking “I’ve retweeted videos talking about white power, and I’m not a racist. I’m sure Don didn’t mean it that way.”
If you can see yourself in the accused person’s shoes, you have sympathy. I think it’s going to be hard to see yourself in the shoes of someone who retweeted that video.

I think that using that clip was intentional. Most us are tired of the outrage, microagrresion, triggered, safe space culture of the left that has filtered out of Academia. They don’t understand sarcasm. Everything is literal.
Trolling doesn’t change my opinion and it shouldn’t change any of yours unless you are weak minded.
