They were very fragile products in that era.

Has anyone had a Nissan CVT that made it to 150,000 miles before imploding?

Gf's altima is at 150. But it's all highway commute.

My theory on their failure is cold fluid issues at startup.

Historically Jatco builds bulletproof transmissions. I just can't see hoe they got it so wrong.

I have had two and now on my third. Only Nissan transmission issue I have had was a loose ground strap in the transmission. It was a quick and Cheap fix and it was on a non cvt unit.

Most Nissan dealers offer a lifetime powertrain warranty. Does require you to perform the required scheduled maintenance at the dealer though.
