The family of the late Lillian Richard of Hawkins, near Tyler, opposes move.

Richard was the second-to-last woman to portray Aunt Jemima on products.

The last lady to do so was from Hearne, Texas, between Waco and Bryan/College Station.

The grandson of another woman who preceded Richard as Aunt Jemima is angry that her legacy is being erased.

It doesn’t matter, rich white people who’ve never seen or talked to a black person want it gone, and so do the 18–25 year old white kids they raised.

Lol silly family, they think this has something to do with race or people being offended.
