It isn’t just about one player anymore. Entire OL and defensive captain backing Chubbard

Call their bluff.

I PROMISE you there are more people in Oklahoma and associated with OSU that would agree with that stance vs. acquiescing to pure stupidity from the player(s). Just because twitter and the media thinks something is "right", doesn't most of the country does. It just the majority doesn't say anything because they know something like THIS could happen to them.

Holy shite! The guy wore a t-shirt fishing. I feel like Allen Iverson. Not practice. Not a press conference. Not a game. Fishing!

Here is my statement I wrote, unsolicited for Mike Gundy:

"I have an opportunity today to learn a lesson and teach a lesson. I recently wore a T-shirt with the logo of the news organization OAN, which stands for One American News. It was on a fishing trip and I was not publicizing it, but it got out anyway and that's OK.

I enjoy watching news and keeping up with current events. I believe that all citizens should be informed. Staying informed is not watching one channel or one point of view. Staying informed is listening to as many different voices as possible.

I watch multiple news channels and read many different publications. They all have their flaws and cater to different views on the political spectrum. They all make mistakes. They all rush to judgement. They all produce stories they later regret.

This is why we all need to listen to diverse viewpoints. That is the lesson that I hope I can share.

The lesson I have learned is that I hold a position of influence, and that I need to be very careful allowing any company, media outlet or political viewpoint to be associated with me. Because that, by default, becomes associated with this great university and these great players.

I regret that any student-athletes were put in a position to have to respond to this and I welcome any of them to discuss this with me at any time.

Thanks and Go Pokes.
