Anyone who would fire or discriminate against an employee is a piece of shite, without exception.
The abuse never seems to be part of the consideration in these kinds of court cases.

If you have a gay or trans troubled/non-performing employee it will make it more difficult to fire them. In practice as the supervisor you will just have to document the troubles and non-performances with documented warnings more than the average employee. But with paperwork in place it should be no issue to fire a bad gay or trans employee.
