Stern has been gradually getting worse and worse with time, but when he neutered the Wrap Up Show because it was becoming more entertaining than the actual show, I stopped listening consistently. Howard 101 with pre-2016 segments are the only thing keeping me subscribed, which is pretty sad I guess.
Richard, Sal, Ronnie, the Wack Pack (save High Pitch Eric), and Sour Shoes calls are the only good elements left of the show.
I doubt anything happens because I feel like he’s addressed this before, but I honestly wouldn’t mind if he uses any blowback as his deciding factor to retire this year.

The funniest thing about his shows now are the Sal and Richard prank calls and the sound bytes that Fred plays in response to what's being talked about. Fred is a genius at finding the perfect sound byte.
The show itself has become so fricking stale though. I started listening to Howard Stern when he was on terrestrial radio in the late 90's, and that version of Howard would have gone the frick off on the 2020 version of Howard.
He basically turned into a liberal version of Imus.
