So rather than supporting our Black student-athletes, this Board has decided to

- use Wayde Sims death as a talking point to divert the issue

- talk about Black on Black crime to divert the issue

- claim that you will not support LSU anymore because they have said “Black Lives Matter”. Not that they are “joining the BLM organization”.

Not surprised at all that admins will let this ignorant bs continue. If our African-American athletes left LSU after seeing the ridiculous arse responses on here and every team’s social media page, then what? You are allowed to your opinion, but then to purposely ignore the point, just because you don’t like it, is so damn pathetic. Y’all gotta grow up. I guarantee if Ja’Marr Chase or Justin Jefferson was in your face telling you Black Lives Matter and telling you why they feel that they need to say it, you would spout this bullshite you are saying on this message board.

isn’t this a bigger issue in the black community though? It definitely should be addressed and it’s sad it isn’t

The issue is Black Lives Matter

That's what's in the twitter post in OP.

Thus that is the topic we are discussing. Black on black killings is not a part of BLM?

On the contrary. Whenever it is mentioned that every 32 minutes a black person is killed by a black person, the response from the pro-BLM'ers is, "this isn't the time for THAT conversation". It absolutely is. If the Black lives really matter, then you want to save the most black lives you can. In 2019, 14 black people were killed by police officers. 8 of those were a result of police defending themselves with corroborating evidence. 1 is still pending, the other 3, the cops are being prosecuted. Now let's take, just this past weekend, 92 fricking people were shot in Chicago alone, and 27 were killed. In ONE WEEKEND. If you refuse to have the black on black crime "conversation" right now, then you should change your movement from "black lives matter" to, "sometimes black lives matter, depending on the situation" but that hashtag is too long.
