no doubt, he was cruising, he deserved the CG and they needed the win. Plus why experiment with Sanchez as the closer in such an important game? 3 straight singles, sanchez is done and joe smith heads out to the hill with his propane tank ready to go

I partly agree.
I think Johan should probably have been given the chance in this specific situation. Wagner was unavailable, so this was the perfect excuse to buck the pitch count (which I hate) and just say "you're our ace, go out there and try to close out this game".
With that said,
He did give up a homer in the 8th, and was facing 3 ritht handed hitters to start off the inning. I'm not going to fault the managing for doing what in the book was probably the right thing to do. This one was just on a pen that had been relying too much on it always being 'Billy's inning', and they were just simply unprepared and failed to excecute.
It would have been a great 'topper' to Duaner's comeback - but he has been called out in the past for being sort of a 'slacker', and last night showed it.
