Chicharito, Vela, etc do.
Ideally MLS will become a springboard league like the Dutch league for players to make the jump to a bigger league. Shitty defending hasn’t really hurt the Eredivisie. Plus more goals is fun for spectators. Basically I don’t really disagree with the offense first mentality for a second tier league.

It gives the illusion the league is crazy improving when it isn’t

It’s very entertaining

But seeing these dudes and even old attackers torch low level defending isn’t helping the image of the league to the masses of fans who are not that niche MLS fan base but still knows and follows other leagues.

If owners had the freedom to operate independently and spend what they see fit we would be able to see those quality players in the defense part of the game.
