Well I don't think that there is an overall drop in talent however a few amazing players or important positions have a change.

Losing Dorsey is big no matter how much talent you have waiting. I really thought he was the best player in college football last year even though he had some injuries.

Having no proven QB is tough in the SEC.

The CBs on the roster are unproven.

Looking at the rosters I think last year was a better squad and they still lost 2 games.

I think with your defense plus a dominate O-line/good running game that the QB will be able to manage the game however its very hard to know what to expect. Alabama could have easily had a very good season last year if not for a certain QB making some amazing mistakes in close games.

But overall there is a great deal of depth and talent... I just don't see this team having a better record than the team last year. I would guess a 3 loss season. However if injuries don't hit the team and the QB plays very well feel free to rub that in my face in a few months.
