People saw through the attempt to paint himself as a Christian and it backfired bigly.
I think people already knew Trump is a bit crass, and "plays the game" because he has to in order to win.
The point that Trump supporters could be hesitant to tell a stranger they support Trump is still valid. I don't see the same fear with Biden supporters.
