Anecdotally there are numerous tales of gar drowning people...probably not while engaged in getting some and not in 8 inches of water but there are lots of stories of them eating folks. Probably all unfounded but a 100 pound fish with those teeth could do some damage if it wanted to....only a man from Louisiana would think to wade into that madness LOL....y'all are nuts LOL.

Awesome we live in a time where you can document this with something other than a polaroid. Only once have I seen something similar but not on this scale. There was two mating balls with eating size channels swarming around the edges to eat eggs. I don't know how long I watched in amazement before realizing this was the best catfish fishing I'd ever come across.

Good on green jeans, you should now be exempt from them ever checking you again

I remember fishing in a little seat boat in 70s in brickyard bayou. I keep getting bites but could not hook shite. A big rain hit and cooled the water off and it seemed liked every damn gar on the water came to the top and just stopped there. You could almost walk across them. There were 1000s of them, every size, from a few pounds to hundreds, alligator gars, long nose, spotted etc.

It seemed like all that could live there were Gars and I was done fishing there. (If you didn’t get it the gar where the things that were biting) lol
