I've found the deep ball to be quite effective. I'll put my fastest player in the slot, and hot route him straight up the field and his speed seperates him from the secondary. My qb just throws the ball as far as he can, and the wr goes and gets it.

If you run the spread, just run slants. If you time it right, the WR that doesn't catch it will block for the WR that caught the ball. you can get good yardage with this. I've done this a few times for over 50-60 yds. Just make sure the reciever is quick.

What they said above is true. I currently have D. Byrd in the slot on my Dynasty and he has like 1200 yds and 12 tds 10 games in (playing on All-Am).

The main thing I do is make him run a post route as the slot receiver and make the outside WR on his side the field run a streak. This causes the Safety to usually go with outside man cause he's the deep route. I then just hit Byrd as he's making his cut (make sure you push right on the joystick to lead him a little). They'll either tackle you just as he catches it or he'll go for a TD.
