I met with Schwab and a rep from wealth enhancement group while ago. We've got a family land sale closing in late Dec. and they encouraged me to take all the unrealized losses I'm currently setting on. I mentioned SLI and what I hope will happen and the rep I met with today is supposed to run this one by his team and get back with me on it this week. I expect him to tell me to take the losses now and start buying back next year for lower if I still believe in it.

Sounds like an interesting position that you're in. I don't know a thing about a thing but I really can't see anyone "missing the boat" on this one in the next month. I just think with construction taking 2 years and production not til 2026 there won't be any sort of $2-->$15 explosion in the meantime. And I think they've got too much to prove out on SWA and Texas before considering an acquisition.

I mean, Lithium Americas says they're on a similar timeline to produce in 2026, will use a mine (less risky), has a $650M investment and offtake from GM, NPV of $5.7B (SLI around $3.5B), and trades at $6.65, for perspective.

Interested in what you end up deciding though
