The actual numbers are concerning, I agree. There are clearly some cultural/racial/class/whatever you want to call it problems that we need to solve. But we should NOT try to solve them by blowing them way out of proportion to try to scare people. As another example of data manipulation, just as important as the data provided is the data that was left out. The rest of the data says that a random white person is about twice as likely to be attacked by another white person than by a black person.
