I remember college in the early 90s. Most all professors were quite transparently left-leaning, with a small handful conservative leaning. Sure, I liked some better than others, but I can't say political leanings played much a part in that.
I can say, however, that I never once thought, man I really need to start thinking politically just like THIS professor. I don't recall any friends or classmates thinking like that either - knowing plenty all across the political spectrum.
In other words, I don't really get the whole "college liberal indoctrination" thing. Are college aged folks really that much more malleable these days?

quote:“After the 2016 election, for example, they held a ‘cry-in’ at Cornell, they had therapy dogs on campus at the University of Kansas, and Play-Doh and coloring books at the University of Michigan,” the attorney general continued. “Students at Tufts were encouraged to ‘draw about their feelings.’ Rather than molding a generation of mature and well-informed adults, some schools are doing everything they can to create a generation of sanctimonious, sensitive, supercilious snowflakes. That is a disservice to their students and a disservice to this nation.”

A group of University of California, Berkeley students recently attempted to protest their own exam and demanded a "take-home essay with significant time to prepare" in its place. While the professor refused, he did offer to carry on a conversation with them outside of the class, but the protesters decided to complain to the Department of Ethnic Studies instead. When one student mockingly asked the protesters if "this is a fillibuster," they accused him of "trying to silence us."
