re: Black people are less likely to be shot by cops (research inside)

The officer's attitude makes a big difference. I know a Sheriff (now retired) who was also a state trooper for a number of years. He said he never was in a fight at a stop, not one time. Why? He said he knew how to talk to people to de-escalate the situation (or to not start a fight when none was needed).
