It’s kind of hard to negotiate this years salary two years from now.
If the owners truly needed relief in order to pay the salaries already agreed upon then they would happily show proof of it. The fact that they won’t proves to me that the loss of gate revenue isn’t enough to cause the players to take such a drastic decrease in pay.
They’re trying to make people believe that they’re in serious financial distress but that’s not what their actions show.
