I have my brother's 70s 9.9 sail drive long shaft electric start. It has maybe 10 hours on it. I might have someone go over it and get it running. I know you can buy the shorter shaft and housing so to use it as a regular outboard. Probably has different gearing also. It's like new.

There’s really nothing to it if you have a couple hours and some hand tools. Spark plug, spray out the carb, and changing the impeller/lower unit oil is all it will need, all on YouTube.
