Maybe Heiar is just a bad head coaching candidate.
He was the top assistant at Wichita State when they were on an awesome run. He got no HC opportunities. He came to LSU to increase his chances. He still got no opportunities.
Heiar charged with DUI
He also has a reputation as a drinker. It's likely not true, or exaggerated, but it's out there.

He has interviewed for hc jobs and can’t get one. One of two reasons. The black cloud of ncaa under wade. Or Wade is seen as the mastermind of it all and he is getting no credit.
