I only use it once a year when I do the whole front side of my house. The brick porch catches some algae in one spot, the rest is just regular old buildup, just like you would get on side walks and driveways.

I do get one hose attached just to hit the dormers on the 2nd floor, but where I can reach, I just spray myself, it goes a lot further that way IMO
