I was there. That offense sucked. Risher was a mediocre QB and the WR's were even worse than the RB's. We were all amazed when Orlando McDaniel was drafted in the 2nd round. He was a track guy but not much of a football player. The guy played in 3 NFL games in one season and was done after that. Stovall brought in Mack Brown in '82 and the offense was much improved.

Wow. Somehow all this time I never knew Brown was ever at LSU. And I just read that he was strongly considered for HC but passed over for Arnsparger.
