The grass is a real issue due to the fertlize, the amount of shad in this specific pond is crazy, but the largest bass I've caught was no more than 4 pounds, most are 1 or 2, I'll give a buzz bait a shot

In that case, zoom superfluke in smokey shad color fished weightless, cast out and twitch it back.

I have found that healthy ponds with lots of forage make the bass harder to catch. They aren't starving or desperate and less willing to take a chance on a random bait.

If there are shad present then they are definitely eating them. That can be tricky since they will get really keyed in on small shad. A fluke is still a good bet. Senkos work anywhere, as much as I hate fishing them. Willow leaf spinnerbaits can get bit, and have a popper or spook handy. If you get a wild hair and it’s tough try a jerkbait. Shad feeding fish look up, you’ll want to focus on the top third of the water column.
