BHO promised to transform America and he was very successful in doing so. His definition of that was a realignment of global powers. The overtures were to Islamic nations - see Iran and its network which included Red China. To solidify this transformation an enemy had to be identified and it was Putin's Russia - our old Cold War adversary, fresh enough for Boomers.
If HRC had been elected we would have engaged Putin's Russia militarily and we were well on the way to doing so. When she inexplicably lost a cover had to surface. The BHO WH was always spying on American citizens so they quickly used it - Russian interference and DJT as a cover. This has NEVER been about DJT but rather an attempt to cover a deeper agenda. DJT is show. Unfortunately for them DJT won't allow it to ride as 'just politics' as it WASN'T 'just politics'... it was a deliberate and calculated attempt for nations to lose their sovereignty.

My guess has been that patriots in DC (congress, military, SCOTUS, etc) recognized this and made a plan.
Nobody was beating HRC. period. DTC was recruited** maybe as early as 2011 to be the face-man to dump the book of secrets after she won, and then push for torches and pitchforks*** (with help from behind the curtain). There are no real secrets in DC. BHO was spying to figure out who was behind the curtain, what they were preparing to do and how to counter it.
**Why would DJT in 2010-2011, at his age and where he was at time (hit TV show, international pop-culture icon, 3rd hot wife, plenty of money) start hitting the MSM touting the birther movement, insulting the most globally respected leader in modern history and potentially alienating the citizens of the world from his brand, to appeal to maybe 25% of the US population? That doesn't make sense...unless..
*** why would Trump not say to the nation on the debate stage that he would arbitrarily accept the results of the election, if he lost, and why would that question even be brought up unless somebody knew that someone was cooking something up behind the curtains?
