Whole lotta weirdness about the story
5 guys delivering a pizza to the hotel as if they were absolutely certain it was for MJ or another player (i guess someone from hotel room service could’ve tipped them off but still seems far fetched)
MJ crushing a whole pizza the night before a finals game. Players eat like shite or whatever they want on reg season roadtrips but everyone’s in the zone come playoff time and there’s more time to eat right versus city and hotel hopping during back to backs. I’ve heard stories of people eating crazy pregame meals but a guy as locked in and fiercely competitive as MJ smashing a whole pizza the night before a game doesn’t seem like an MJ thing.
And why settle for some random pizza? They couldn’t send an intern or trainer into the city for some McDonald’s or something? I know they were staying on the outskirts and its fricking mormonville out there but they could’ve found SOMETHING less sketchy.
Im thinking it’s possible just got carried away playing cards with the guys and just got hammered or something THEN smashed a whole pizza and his body was like “hol’ up there GOAT”

I had a couple friends in Beijing for the olympics and the bball team was at McDonalds for every single meal smashing all of it. Those guys aren't healthy eaters for the most part it seems
I mean why is this guy proud 2 people delivered the pizza. I have ordered pizza a ton of times and never had a 2nd person at the door

Dude, MJ would drink the night before playoff games around poker tables. He smoked cigars before playoff games. He played golf the day of playoff games.

They covered this. They called all over the place looking for delivery food and this was the only place they could get to bring him something.

Well, they admitted it was 2 guys. So that would be weird on its own. They must've known somehow. Probably a locked down floor as well, so that might've tipped them off.

Still definitely possible. But MJ is a booze hound. It would take a lot to make him be puking all night from drinking. I can't imagine he drank a fifth of whiskey or something like that. It had to be a stomach virus or food poisoning.
This is coming from someone who, himself, is a very heavy drinker.
Also as someone with a petri dish of a toddler, you can get a 12-24 hour stomach virus that feels JUST like food poisoning.

But to me this is nothing for Jordan. I don't think he had to be like Larry Bird and run stairs and sit alone in the dark before games and then show up 3 hours to the stadium before anyone else to practice jumpshots alone.
I think Jordan was like, I'm just better than you. I can sit up all night and gamble and drink and still kick your arse the next day.
Magic said Jordan wanted to play cards ALL NIGHT LONG before games on the Dream Team and almost never went to bed.
Crushing a pizza is child's play. Jordan had super DNA, he didn't need to protect his body or get sleep.
