we just replaced our 15 year old dishwasher. We got a whirlpool gold series but the truth is nothing is made like it was. The EPA has screwed things up. This thing takes 3 hours to do a load of dished on "normal" and "sani-rinse."
The dishes come out soaking wet since the new ones cant have the same heating element as the old ones. And in order to get a new one to dry, you have to add more chemicals.

Agreed. I put a new Whirlpool in about 2 years ago and it sucks. We honestly rarely use it and just hand wash most of our dishes.
