re: Y’all know anybody who had the virus?

I had it. I also know a few people.

Coworker, He came to work with it but had no idea. was sick for about 5 days, went to the hospital briefly. really bad but cleared up quickly. He's in his mid 30s, fit, 6'2+ big healthy guy. Been back at work for weeks now.


I worked directly with him for 12 hours and got it. Had no idea at the time that he was sick and had Felt kinda like shite, really tired, temp of 99.9, breathed like I had drank something but it went down the wrong pipe into my lungs - dry cough I could never quite clear.

I was off of work for 4 days and mostly just rested. I went back to work after and never ran a fever again. I am in my mid 30s, some residual fitness from my time in the USMC but overall I eat a lot of crap and generally enjoy being lazy.

My coworker didn't believe me that I had it because of how mild it was. Positive antibodies told the tale. I was, and still am, like "That's it?" But I am obviously one of the lucky ones. I had a chest XRAY due to a possible TB exposure and there is zero visible lung damage. I also feel great.

One of my USMC buddies out in Cali tested positive 2x. He's in the best shape of his life. That was weeks ago, still doing great.


My boss has positive antibodies. She's pushing 60 and has never missed a day of work.

My friend's father is 63, he was over at a nola hospital doing some work in one of the rooms, I guess they didn't clean it right... he had a HORRIBLE reaction to it, fricking train wreck. It absolutely shredded his lungs to the point of no recovery. He died the other day. fricking horrible.

Anyway that's my experience thus far.
