Wow. I happened to drive by the site earlier today. Feels so weird going in that post office.
I think chasing money is futile right now. NTSB needs to complete their investigation. People forget the owner of the plane lost pretty much his whole family. He’s a victim too.

There's likely a 1 year statute of limitations on filing a lawsuit, so they might as well file and get it over with.
You can always amend a lawsuit or withdraw, but you can't file on day 366.
