Does that give the "jogger" the right to attack someone and try to take their gun?

Not sure about any of this because the facts are in dispute to an extent but if I have a couple of guys drawing down on me claiming they are making a citizen's arrest, especially if I had been up to no good... I'm going to stay put and let the law get there to sort it out by the law. Odds are if they are claiming a legality by stating that it was a citizen's arrest, if I stay put, nobody is getting shot.

Additionally, odds are, if I don't wait for the law and make an aggressive move to disarm those making the "arrest"...someone is probably getting shot and the better odds are that it would be me.

I think there were obviously multiple bad decisions made between the parties involved but the decision to go for the gun was a fatally poor decision. We can't gloss over this point, bad choices often have consequences and changing even just one of those decisions by either party, alone, could have prevented the whole incident from happening and destroying at least three lives.
