re: Anyone raise ducks as pets?

A family friend used to get his kids baby ducks as part of their Easter baskets. They’d bring them out to our pond after a little while.

My schnauzer ran several of them down and killed them. Just because.

One of them stuck his head in the mud and died that way. We came down to the pond one day and it was just lifeless with its head stuck in the muddy banks.

We never fed them, so I guess they weren’t really pets. We were more of a dumping ground.
