My comment was directed at the OP's comment of "We did it" which I assumed implied that the policies "we" created in repsonse to COVID were what was responsible for these death. Obviously it has been disruptive to the healthcare system, and that obviously affects other treatments.

My wife told me they have about 90 breast cancer surgeries backed up. They don’t expect to be back in the OR until Tuesday after Memorial Day
