I agree, and I'd also add that there's no meaningful trend either way. What liberals say about blue states being bastions of giving back more than they receive is also a fallacy. Some states suck, some states have their shite together, and it doesn't really matter if they're red or blue or what party their governor is in at the moment.

I don't even disagree with Trump's statement until he says the unnecessary BS line "in all cases Democrat run and managed". In ALL CASES? Really, Trump? Is Mississippi well run?

I think it was a point signaling to states possibly not wanting to reopen in hopes of getting more federal funds. Nothing more, nothing less.
