If you have any tools at all you can do the job in probably an hour. Changing the brakes on those things are pretty easy. If you don’t have the tools I understand though.
Modern cars are remarkably easy to work on compared to cars from the 50s-80s. I once changed the motor mounts on my wife’s Trailblazer by myself in 45 minutes. The engineering is so much better than it used to be. (Disclaimer... I don’t work on Fords or German cars)

Not sure if serious. Brake wear is based on miles and braking conditions such as repeated hard breaking or towing. Has nothing to do with time.
