You are right but Wray was a GOP swamp recommendation and Trump went along with it just to get him through senate conformation smoothly.

Trump had shitty advice at the start but his main cabinet members have been in place awhile and great lately.
It is hard to get rid of Wray. Could you imagine the squealing? Hopefully something will happen with Durham and Wray's malfeasance in not cleaning up the FBI will somehow become obvious.
