But we still need more cases to approach critical care capacity, regardless
Our current rates are highly inefficient and will make this last longer irrationally

It really isn’t a guess, the economic toll has been severe and will continue to get worse the longer this drags on, barring additional trillion dollar cash infusions - which I am not a fan of.
Meanwhile, everything about this virus has been a guess from day one, and we have made all decisions based on worst case scenario. On day one this is excusable. On day whatever-we-are-now, it’s stupidity.
