I'm 5'9" and would prefer a shorter driver shaft. I have great control of my 3 wood but no so much with my driver. I've read a bunch on it and listened to tech guys on video and most are of the consensus that your accuracy is greatly improved. Choking up just doesn't give me the same feel.

I want to say I've shortened one before and it wasn't that complicated. Just a matter of pull g the grip off, cutting the shaft and putting the grip back on. I don't know that anyone is open right now to do it.
