I posted in the other thread, but why not choke up?
You could change the properties of the driver and maybe for the worse.

I’m thinking of shortening my driver too.
I’ve choked up too, it’s just not the same.
For me anyways .

I'm 5'9" and would prefer a shorter driver shaft. I have great control of my 3 wood but no so much with my driver. I've read a bunch on it and listened to tech guys on video and most are of the consensus that your accuracy is greatly improved. Choking up just doesn't give me the same feel.
