He didn’t participate in the combine and hasn’t been evaluated by any team doctors. With injuries being cited as the reason for his step back in play and tackling woes, that’s a big deal.

Couple that with specific team needs and teams generally not valuing the safety position as much as say QB, OL, DE, CB, and WR and you’ll see why he’s starting to slip. Don’t be surprised if there are no S taken in the first round this year.

Delpit didn’t have “injuries”. He had one ankle injury. To say that he has an injury history is very misleading. In my opinion, without the ankle injury he plays the way he did in 2018 and would be a top 10 pick.
