Help with capturing video and chat...

I play on Xbox and sometimes I go to record clips of certain segments of the game, Call of Duty specifically. When I check the recording on my Xbox app the game sound is there but the chat with my party members is not.
Any help with settings adjustment or suggestions appreciated.

I wonder if it’s like PlayStation where your friends have to apply a setting that allows their voice to be heard.

On Xbox there is an option you have to enable to include chat before making the clip. I want to say it's in the same menu where you select clip duration. Not in front of my Xbox right now.
