Where’s The Love For Jacob Phillips...

LSU has released hype videos for folks like Breiden Fehoko and Derrick Dillon. Heck, even Trendon Watford a one year basketball player got his own video. Jacob Phillips was the leading tackler this year on the National Championship team and only trailed Devin White last year. If I missed his highlight video can someone please direct me to it? He deserves one as much or more than anyone—-with the exception of Burrow, of course.

I remember it, too, fondly. I have always wondered why even though he’s been one of the more sure tacklers on the team why he is very seldom showcased in highlight videos. Maybe because he just did his job and wasn’t theatrical after a tackle.

Who said anything about draft order? I’m simply stating that if anybody on the football team deserves a highlight video on the defensive side of the ball it should be Phillips. No one has more tackles over the course of the last two full seasons than Jacob Phillips.

Great kid. He graduated from East Nashville with my youngest sister.
Met his granddad in the parking garage at the graduation ceremony. Wonderful people.
His I lay on the field spoke plenty enough. He is supremely talented, reads offenses like a book, and will be a staple in whatever defense he goes to.

I place him in the top 10 LSU players on last years team
but 10th at best. He was below average in coverage and made tackles but most were 5 yards or higher down the field.
All that said i think he makes an NFL roster.

go back and watch the film dumbass show many how many times this guy hit the hole against a team not named utah state or northwestern state for a lose or a 2 yard gain on a solo tackle.Those are just the cold hard facts so dont tell me i'm pulling this out my arse.Hes the fricking ILB in a 3-4 defense he should have a bunch of tackles.
