Sorry for bumping a two-week-old thread, but a couple of things keep bothering me about this show, so I'll throw this out there for discussion.

1. Jimmy, and now Kim, seem to take great delight in harassing Howard Hamlin, now to the point of ruining his career. Other than his slightly high and mighty "I'm a humble servant to Lady Justice" attitude, what exactly has Howard done to deserve this treatment? I recall that he tried to help Jimmy at HHM and took his side when Chuck was screwing Jimmy over. Same with Kim - HHM paid for her law degree and Howard graciously forgave that debt when she left, only to have her fling a check in his face because she didn't want to be beholden to him. Finally, in this episode when Howard explodes on Kim with his warning about Jimmy - no doubt she knew what he was saying was true but didn't want to admit it.

2. When this show started I assumed Kim was the straight arrow that would keep Jimmy on track for a while, only to be hurt and discarded during Jimmy's conversion to Saul. Looking back though, Kim started breaking bad a long time ago. From the scam she and Jimmy ran in the hotel bar, swapping bank plans at the planning office to the switcheroo Jimmy pulled on the address numbers in Chuck's files, she's either played along willingly or said/did nothing to dissuade Jimmy, much less trying to get him to do the right thing. Kim's scene with Lalo in her face and now the idea to ruin Howard for her own purposes have cemented this idea in my mind.

Sorry for the TLDR. In short - Howard good, Kim breaking bad.
